For Educational Programming:
As specialists in the performing arts of the Indian subcontinent, MELA seeks to use the performing arts as a tool for conversation and cross-cultural exchange. Our portfolio includes diverse educational programming for all communities to learn and experience South Asian culture and recognize our shared human experience. Our professional and experienced artists and teachers conduct workshops, lecture-demonstrations, assemblies, and residencies for K-12, colleges and universities, community events, and more.
Educational programs are customizable to curriculums, and audience demographics.

K-12 Programming
In order to promote a better understanding of South Asian arts and culture, our portfolio includes music and dance artists, with a focus on India and/or Pakistan, that conduct fun and educational assemblies, workshops, lectures, and demonstrations for K-12 in schools.
In-school programs use Indian music and/or dance specifically catered to the curriculum and age group. Our K-12 programs address the need for culturally specific arts programming within a school environment and offers reinforcement of the core curriculum.
Universities and Colleges
MELA has artists who offer interactive programs for universities and colleges at the undergraduate and graduate level. We have many artists who can understand and speak the language of other music and dance forms, including western classical music, making it easier and more effective to communicate the applications and nuances of Indian music and dance to those unfamiliar with it.
The workshops, masterclasses, and residencies are customized to the needs of the university / college.

For charitable organizations with several chapters looking to block book an artist for a fundraising concert tour – we can take care of all the logistics (visas, travel, routing, etc) to make a concert tour happen.
